Charo Uceda is the co-founder and Chief Academic Director of the Uceda Institutes. At age 19 she becomes a simultaneous translator for international conferences. From then on she immerses herself in the teaching of English as a second language and founded together with her father Mr. Juan J. Uceda the Uceda Institutes in 1988 in New York, USA. In 1989 she realizes that the existing language texbooks fail to provide English language learners with the necessary tools to succeed in becoming bi-lingual, so she starts a process of creating materials and testing them in real class settings. This gets to be the basis for the Charo Uceda English Series™, giving these texbooks with Audio CD’s the advantage over all other material in the market because it has constant revisions and additions as new material is constantly tested and incorporated. Miss Uceda also writes and produces English videos and writes and publishes "English at Home by Charo Uceda", a complete system of 12 Lessons and Audio CD’s.
As Chief Academic Director, Miss Uceda is responsible for all the fundamental academic approaches and has developed and implemented the complete ESL, EFL curriculum. Miss Uceda is currently working towards earning a Master’s Degree in Education / TESOL at the prestigious "Teachers College at Columbia University", in New York City. However, she continues writing now working on the development of the 5th and 6th texbook of the English Series.
